His Name, Yahweh and the use of His Name is ever present on my mind. I am so excited to know this truth. I was cleaning out my Scriptures of all the literature, 3x5 cards with verses and my many notes I had made to myself when I read one of the cards that had 1John (Yohanan Aleph) 3-4. I was intrigued and decided to read the whole text. We are given such a clear and understandable message in the text, as left to us by the Set-Apart Spirit. Yahweh has given us His Word so we can understand Him, His desires and His rules. He does rule the Cosmos, He does make the rules and He does make them that man may understand. Ch1 3-4 tells us HOW we are to "know Him".
3 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. 4 the one who says, "I know Him," and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
I believe He does provide everything I need to know about Him in His text. I continued to read and behold, Ch 3.6
6 And this is His command, that we should believe in the Name of His Son, Yahshua Messiah and love one another, as He gave us command.
To me this is quite clear. Believe in the Name, what name? Does any name suffice? No. It must be the Name of Yahshua Messiah, not some replacement name, that is merely 500 yrs old. Please, go online and search out this truth for yourself, I will post later about this, but time is short for me daily and I must use it as I am lead.
If your text has another name, I would suggest you get a Scripture that puts His Name back in where it belongs. First of all you will find the text that makes reference to His Name makes sense, removing the code (L_RD) will be removing the scales that fog and confuse and new clarity will begin to be witnessed. Remember, 6,823 times YHWH was replaced by LORD. It is not acceptable to change, add or remove anything from the Scripture. Not acceptable to who? To our Heavenly Father, to the Almighty. See Duet. 4.2, Duet 12.32, Proverbs 30.6, Revelation 22.18-19, Jeremiah 26.2.
There is so much to disclose!! For instance. When I typed in Yahshua, the computer program highlighted it to tell me there was an error. When I clicked on it, the replacement of Joshua came up. The same Hebrew letters for Yahshua are also used for who we call Joshua, the son of Nun. But somehow that was rendered somewhat correctly, but the Name of our Savior, was butchered by the Greek translators and thru time has become J_sus. But amazingly enough, the spell check knew the correlation! Yahweh certainly works in mysterious ways!! Man, I LOVE my Elohim!!!
The letter J did not even exist until some 500+ yrs ago. And it replaced the I with the J and was pronounced with a Y sound. So isn't it interesting that the computer knew that Yahshua, was really the same as Joshua, but most of us do not? And the original Greek translators knew it too, but they introduced their paganism into the truth, terribly and sadly diminishing it.
Another verse from 1 John, 2.23 really struck me, I had already underlined it, but it just really hit home with me again, this time.
23 No one denying the Son has the Father. The one confessing the Son has the Father as well.
The meaning is so crystal clear to me. By denying the true Name of Yahshua, (often translated, Yahweh's Salvation, or Yahweh's Deliverer), you deny the Father, because His Name is in His Son's Name, BUT, when you accept the Son, Yahshua, you have also accept the Father as well, because you have accepted the Father's Name, precisely as the text tells us in 23.
There are no secrets here, the truth is that if we will ask for truth with a clean heart He will give it to us. When His Name became known to me, the scales began to fall away, His Word is magnificently clear and concise. There is no guesswork and I can no longer tolerate being lied to at Church. There is a burden, but it is easy to bare. So much of the Scripture has become clear to me now and I love to learn more about my Messiah and His Truth. I am not interested is hearing anymore of some preacher, spouting off about the Greek anything. This is the Almighty Elohim, who choose the Hebrews to be His peoples, who came to be our Sacrifice as a Hebrew and who has risen on the Hebrew Sabbath, who followed Hebrew traditions, who spoke Hebrew and whose Set-Apart Spirit led those writing the 'Writings' to do so in Hebrew.
I know this fly's it the face of what most of us have been taught, but what we have been taught is simply not the truth. I have read many texts that say that most scholars today do not dispute the fact that the "New Testament" was originally written in Hebrew. For me the always just made more sense. Why would it have ever been written in Greek? Are they not the most pagan culture of all time? I used to think to myself. Now I know that, No it was not written in Greek. And we don't even have to make the conjecture I just did above. We have the writings of the ancient Historians that tell us this truth.
Matthew composed the words in the Hebrew dialect and each translated as he was able. (Papias, 150-170 CE, quoted by Eusebius, Eccl. HIst. 3.39)
Matthew also issued a written gospel among the Hebrews in there own dialect. (Ireneus, 170 CE. Against Heresies 3:1)
The first (Gospel) is written according to Matthew, the same that was once a tax collector, but afterwards an emissary of Yahshua the Messiah, who having published it for the Jewish believers, wrote it in Hebrew. (Origen circa 210 CE, quoted by Eubesius, Eccl. Hist. 6:25)
The epistle to the Hebrews he asserts was written by Paul, to the Hebrews, in the Hebrew tongue; but that it was carefully translated by Luke, and published among the Greeks. (Clement of Alexandria, Hypotyposes, referred by Eusebius in Eccl Hist. 6:14:2)
He (Shaul, who the Greeks call Paul) being a Hebrew wrote in Hebrew, that is, his own tongue and most fluently; while things which were eloquently written in Hebrew were more eloquently turned into Geek. (Jerome, 382 CE, 'Lives of Illustrious Men', Book V)
All of these quotes may be found in Nazarene Israel, by Norman B Willis. I have also seen them in other literature I have read.
